Goals and Beginnings

Welcome to the first blog post on the website - coincidentally, my first blog post in general!

I’ve always dreamed of being a full time artist, and making this website is the first step of what I predict will be a long journey toward this goal.

At the beginning of 2020 I made a list of artistic goals and ambitions. If you’re somehow reading this in the future, I’m sure you’re laughing at the concept of any goals being made at the beginning of 2020.

So today, midway through 2020, I’m revisiting the goals made at the beginning of the year. Originally, I had planned on participating in the annual San Luis Obispo county Art Studio tour in October. That goal is, unfortunately, no longer possible as it was cancelled due to the current pandemic. Instead, I’ve been focusing on creating more art, rather than focusing on sales and local events.

In addition, I’ve finally purchased a laptop (since my last one died in 2019) thus opening the door to more digital art in the future! Learning new drawing software has been a pain, but so far the reward has been worth it - and I’m excited to work more in this medium

So, here’s to an optimistic latter half of 2020!
