What materials and mediums do you use?

-Watercolor: Various sizes of Strathmore paper, Canson paper, Winsor & Newton watercolors, FineTec watercolors, Winsor & Newton masking fluid, Peerless watercolors, various brushes.

-Pen & Ink: Micron pens (08mm, 05mm, 02mm, 005mm), Indian Ink, Sakura Pens, Faber Castell Pens.

-Digital Art: Wacom Cintiq 16 Tablet, Wacom Pen & Touch Intuos Tablet, Paint Tool Sai, Inkscape, Autodesk Sketchbook.

-Printmaking: Assorted printmaking paper, Speedball Linoleum Cutters, Speedball Speedy Carve Blocks, Speedball Water Soluble Block Printing Inks, Speedball Oil Base Block Printing Inks.

-Miscellaneous: Mechanical pencils (05mm & 03mm), Copic Markers, Acrylic Paints, Oil Paints, Chalk Pastel, Oil Pastel, Color Pencils, Watercolor Pencils.

Where do you get inspiration?

I find inspiration in the natural beauty around me - especially in the local beaches and parks. Montana de Oro, Harmony Headlands, and Morro Rock are some of my personal favorites. I’m also drawn to the fluid and flowing shapes found in plants and foliage.

Further inspiration is found from other artists, both past and present. One of my favorite artists is Alphonse Mucha, and the Art Nouveau style in general. Some of my other favorite artists are: Virginia Frances Sterrett, Aubrey Beardsley, and Agnes Cecile.

How long have you been doing art?

Like most people, I began drawing as a young child. Fortunately, my parents encouraged my interests, and I never stopped practicing. With the exception of an occasional art class in elementary school, and a basic drawing class at Cuesta College, I am largely self taught. The majority of my art processes have been developed through trial and error.

Do you accept commissions?

I am not accepting commissions at this time. However, I have done so in the past, and will likely do so again in the future.
